About us

The Great Out Tours grew from a shared love of the mountains and the adventures that come with them. After spending winter seasons skiing, working and living in both Canada and Japan, we realised that some of our favourite moments weren’t just the ones we experienced ourselves, but the ones we got to share with others. From showing someone a favourite run to helping them discover somewhere they may never have found alone, we loved using our knowledge of the mountains to create experiences people would remember long after their holiday ended. The Great Out Tours was born from wanting to do more of exactly that.

Whether that means learning your first turns, chasing fresh powder, discovering a hidden mountain restaurant or exploring Japan beyond the ski resorts. We take care of the details so you can spend more time experiencing the places we love.

About us

We share a deep love of skiing, travelling and spending as much time in the mountains as possible. Over the years, that passion has taken us from winter seasons in Canada to the mountains of Japan, where skiing, exploring and sharing adventures has become a huge part of our lives together. We love discovering new places just as much as we love introducing other people to them, and The Great Out Tours gives us the chance to share that passion, creating brilliant days, great stories and memories that last a lifetime.

Brontë

Brontë is a confident and versatile instructor who thrives on helping people unlock their potential on the mountain. She loves taking complete beginners and turning them into capable, confident skiers or snowboarders, and there’s nothing she enjoys more than seeing that moment everything clicks.

Equally strong on skis and snowboard, Brontë has a real passion for fluid riding and technical progression, especially in Japan’s deep powder where her snowboarding really comes alive. She enjoys pushing her own riding just as much as she enjoys helping others progress, whether that’s exploring new terrain, refining technique or spending time in the park developing new skills.

Her teaching style is calm, clear and encouraging, with a strong focus on building confidence, control and enjoyment in every session.

Laith

Laith is happiest when he’s moving fast, finding fresh powder or more often than not, somewhere in the air. A confident and highly capable skier, he loves jumps, bumps, park features and challenging terrain, and brings that same energy and enthusiasm to everyone he teaches.

He has a natural ability with kids, combining fun and encouragement with the skills to turn nervous young skiers into confident little shredders. As a qualified park instructor, Laith is also brilliant at breaking down new skills, building confidence and helping riders progress safely. Behind his adventurous style is a strong awareness of the mountain and the ability to assess terrain, conditions and risk; so you can push yourself, have fun and know you’re in capable hands.
